The Next Book: Baked Explorations

By popular demand (well, three votes to be accurate, but they were enthusiastic) I’ve chosen Baked Explorations: Classic American Desserts Reinvented as my next review book.

What looks good?  What doesn’t.  Double-Chocolate Loaf with Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Spread, Grasshopper Bars (if it’s got chocolate and mint, I’m stalking it), Chocolate Mint Thumbprints (see what I mean?), Maple Cupcakes with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting (maple: my other flavor obssession), Mississippi Mud Pie (the photo makes this one irresistable), Monkey Bubble Bread (don’t worry, it’s vegetarian), Malted Waffles, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake and — you might want to sit down for this one — Farm Stand Buttermilk Doughnuts Three Ways, and so many more.

On a totally unrelated note I wonder if I can get a treadmill into my office somehow?

Please join me as I alternately bake and punish myself for it by running!
